ASCIA Policy - inquiries from the public1. As a professional medical organisation the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) is unable to respond to telephone inquiries from the public. ASCIA cannot provide specific comments on documents nor medical advice. Any questions regarding a medical diagnosis or treatment should be directed to a medical practitioner. 2. The Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) only develops advice, guidelines and supporting documentation for management of allergic or immune conditions and does not set management policies. For example, ASCIA cannot provide comments to the public on anaphylaxis management policies, which are generally developed by governments (Education or Health departments), workplaces, schools, kindergartens or childcare centres.
