MEDIA AWARDS 2004-2005
This is the first announcement of the inaugural ASCIA media awards. To be eligible for these awards, you must be a journalist working in Australia or New Zealand.
Two prizes of $1000 AuD will be awarded to journalists for excellence in reporting on allergic diseases or other immunological diseases (immunodeficiency, autoimmunity, vasculitis etc) to the general public.
The articles or programs must be published or presented between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2005. The articles or program scripts should be sent to the ASCIA Executive Officer soon after they are published, electronically if possible.
Judges for the media awards will be ASCIA members, including paediatric and adult immunologists and allergy specialists.
It is intended that the first awards will be presented at the 2005 ASCIA Annual Scientific Meeting in New Zealand.
Resources for articles and programs can be found on the ASCIA website http://www.allergy.org.au/ and specifically in the ASCIA Education Resources (AER) area where there are over fifty articles on allergic and immune diseases. The ASCIA website address should be quoted as a reference on all articles where it is used as a resource.
