EXPLANATORY NOTES
The Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA) has developed the ASCIA Media Awards to recognise outstanding medical and health reporting on allergic and immune diseases in Australia and New Zealand. To be eligible for these awards, you must be a journalist working in Australia or New Zealand, reporting to either the public or health professionals. Medical practitioners or other health professionals are not eligible for these awards unless they are working as full time journalists. Two awards of $1000 AuD will be presented each year to journalists for reporting on allergic diseases (such as rhinitis, asthma and anaphylaxis) or other immune diseases (such as primary immunodeficiencies and autoimmune diseases). Resources for articles or programs are available on the ASCIA website: http://www.allergy.org.au/ Entries will be judged by a panel of ASCIA members, including paediatric and adult immunologists and allergy specialists. Entries will be judged on the quality with which each article or program:
