What is AER
ASCIA Education Resources (AER) is an official education project of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA), which is the peak professional society of allergy specialists and clinical immunologists in Australia and New Zealand.
AER allows people access to reliable and up to date information on allergy, asthma and immune diseases on the ASCIA website http://www.allergy.org.au/ and some AER information bulletins are also available as printed brochures.
Launched in the second half of the year 2000, the AER web pages include a continuously expanding range of information bulletins, for the benefit of the public, medical practitioners, other health professionals and the media.
Our Mission
ASCIA Education Resources is dedicated to informing the community on allergy, asthma and immunology issues. We aim to provide up to date and reliable information to enable patients and their doctors to make informed choices about management for allergy, asthma and immune diseases.
Objectives

To create greater awareness and understanding of allergy, asthma and immune diseases: their impact, and appropriate (medically and scientifically proven) management options.

To help people recognise the symptoms of allergy, asthma and immune diseases.

To inform people of medically and scientifically proven methods for assessment, treatment and prevention.

To improve the quality of life for people with allergy, asthma or immune diseases.
